These files contain the Development Master Plans (DMP) & Comprehensive Plan Amendments (CPA) that have been filed with Maricopa County Planning & Development. You will also be able to view comments regarding the DMP, submitted by Tonopah Community Organizations as well as the Maricopa County Divisions.
We ask that all residents of Tonopah review the files and contact us with their comments and/or concerns about the developments. If you would like to make your comments public for the Community to consider and possibly reply to please, visit our Public Voice page.
We have included the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Annual Report from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Files are in PDF format and are quite large, requiring long periods of download time if you are using a "dial up connection", here are some helpful tidbits for expedited downloading:
1. Using your mouse right click on the file (highlighted in BLUE) you wish to view and perform a "Save As" and place the document onto your harddrive or onto a CD.
2. CD's containing all of the above listed files can be obtained from TRU for a $10 donation. Mail your check or money order to our P.O. Box 1163, Tonopah, Arizona 85354 along with a note stating which DMP you are requesting a CD for. Upon receipt of your donation we will mail out your CD within 3 business days. Make sure you send your correct mailing address.

No provisions for future municipality of Tonopah - Proposed densities are too high - Proposed infrastructure was mostly self serving - Open Spaces for Trail Riding - Dark Skies - No provisions for proper Emergency Services - Inadeqacy of I-10 with more traffic. Several Key Reports not provided with the application examples: Water, Sewer, Reclaimed Water, Traffic Analysis & Master Drainage. Keeping the Rural Lifestyle in Tonopah. It could not be determined how this project could be mutually beneficial to the Developer & Tonopah.

DENIAL of this CPA application is recommended as a mixed use of residential and commercial is provided for in the County's area plans and the 90 acre commercial area being eliminated is frequently referenced in the narrative as an element of justification for the CPA. Converting a mixed use area to a single use should also be addressed through the use of a development master plan. Comments have been limited as this application is incorrect therefore, we submitted a 55 point list to Maricopa County. TRU comments link is listed above.

Comments have been limited as this application is incorrect but, the following items need a more detailed resolution therefore, we submitted a 55 point list to Maricopa County. DMP must clearly demonstrate how this project could be mutually beneficial to the Developer & Tonopah.
