Tonopah Residents United - Community Concerns Survey & Results

Tonopah Residents United, Inc. Non-Profit Corporation mailed out a "Community Concerns Survey" in an attempt to generate a consensus of the Tonopah Residents' concerns regarding the Tonopah Community.

National regulatory commission - Annual Assessment results for
palo verde nuclear generation station

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has completed the annual assessment associated with the 2005 inspections and performance indicators for Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station. The results can be found on the NRC web site at http://www.nrc.gov/NRR/OVERSIGHT/ASSESS/index.html . The NRC has scheduled a public meeting to discuss the results. The meeting for the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on April 5, 2006 , in the Saddle Mountain Unified School District Board Room located at 38201 W. Indian School Road in Tonopah , AZ 85354 . Meeting notices can be viewed online at www.nrc.gov/public-involve/public-meetings/index.cfm .

Please be informed, the Governing Board of the Saddle Mountain Unified School District #90 will be entertaining motion with respect to boundary considerations for the attendance area of the new Winter's Well Elementary School , projected opening date of January 2007.

The community is invited to contribute to this discussion. Ideas for boundary considerations will be welcomed and considered.
