Conserving Arizona 's Future - State Trust Lands Reform Initiative

Arizona Education Association launches "Conserving Arizona 's Future" to grow school funds. In July, AEA launched a statewide effort to collect signatures for a ballot measure to significantly increase the Classroom Site Fund, preserve open space, and lead to managed development of Arizona 's State Trust Lands. Revenues from trust lands go to public schools and mean millions of additional dollars every year for schools. AEA worked with environmental groups and business leaders to craft a measure that meets a broad range of interests. AEA members across the state will be involved in gathering signatures to put "Conserving Arizona's Future" on the November '06 ballot.
