Maricopa Planning & Zoning Meetings

TAC meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of every month and run throughout the day starting at 9:00 a.m. Therefore, you'll have to check with us to see when during the day a case of interest is scheduled to be discussed. TAC meetings are open to the public, but they are generally of a technical nature, discussing engineering standards, regulations, specific land uses, and the like. Issues of public policy are usually not discussed at these meetings which is why the general public usually does not attend.

Board of Supervisors hearings are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month starting at 9:00 a.m. These are always hearings that are open to the public. Citizens who wish to give opinions about specific development cases are allowed and encouraged to address the Board at these hearings.

Board of Adjustment hearings are normally held the second Wednesday of every month at 10:00 a.m. . They are similar to Board of Supervisors hearings in that they are open to the public and citizens can address the Board with comments or recommendations.

The Commission hearings are held on the first and third Thursday of every month at 9:30 a.m. . These too are public hearings where the public is welcome to address the Commission about cases of interest.

ZIPPOR hearings are typically informal Planning and Zoning Commission work sessions that are held every other month 9:00 a.m. . These are typically study sessions where the Commission discusses general planning and zoning related issues. Again, they are open to the public but action on specific cases usually does not occur (actions are usually reserved for the formal Commission hearings).
